One of the sources my professor suggested to me was the Strad magazine produced in London. Taking his advice I checked out some of the articles this magazine had to offer and found many articles that interested me. One that stood out in particular was "Keeping the Kids on Board". This article is all about teaching string instruments and what you can do and should avoid doing to keep kids interested in music programs. I found it interesting to read that London and American schools have very similar issues in music departments. I have been debating if I want to write my research paper on strings or not, but if I do I believe this magazine can be extremely helpful in finding issues and research.
